Because I Believe In Me!We go through life, as we do, Things happen as we walk that path; And through everything that happens to me, I always remember the end result is to laugh! For laughter makes the heart feel glad, And helps to shake off the blues, We can all do it, if we so want… But then, that's for each of us to choose. For me my path is long and harsh, And mostly all uphill, Down many a dale, but trust me true… Depression will make us ill! So when you walk that hill, and down that dale, Always tell yourself this; Life wasn't supposed to be easy! It's all about hit-and-miss! If everything was easy in life for us, Then we wouldn't appreciate all we do, For when you can't do certain things, These things then make you blue. But blue and sad, happy and glad, Are the ingredients of life! They make the mix, to make the cake, And beat in the ingredients of strife. And mix it up, and beat it up, But never let the mix set! When all's said and done, the truth is this, We are stuck with what we get! So when the mix is ready, before it's set, Pop it into the oven of life-and-trial, And when it's baked to perfection, It will help you walk that one last mile! For when the cake is done, How lovely it will be to devour, Savour that taste, and remember it! And draw on it in your darkest hour! For the taste so sweet helps us focus on… Many a trial and many a struggle too! But if you only remember the cake that was set, Then things won't be as easy for you! So look to the cake in the oven! And smile yourself a little smile, And know this to be oh, so true… You can walk that one last mile! I can! Because I Believe In Me!
