Dark Poetry From A Twisted Mind

Forbidden Loveliness

Her violet eyes glisten
Like sun-kissed amethysts.

Her ruby-red lips
& lovely pearls within
Smile
A sweet, untouchable smile…

She's too beautiful
To be real.
A lovely living painting.

She paints her long
Fingernails
A Snow White apple red.

And she hums
A song she's never heard ~
That came to her
In a dream.

In perfect pitch
& melody, she breaks out
Into song.

The words are from
Some ancient language ~
From many centuries ago.

She knows not
Where the words
Came from,
Nor the origin of
The melody.

But she sings
Like there's no tomorrow.
Her voice
Glistens
Like a rich man's
Wine glass ~
Full of the most
Expensive wine.

The words,
The tone
Of her perfect voice
Shimmer
Like the water
In an unpolluted lake.

Her nails dry.
She combs her hair ~
So black,
It shines
Like apache tears.

I long to touch
Her silky hair,
To tease her lovely lips
With mine.

To fondle
Her every
Perfect curve,
To take in
Every beautiful note
Of her ghostlike song.

I cry
Into a pillow ~
Hoping for
My suffocation.
