beauty spot

they climbed from the valley hand in hand
sat on the hillside and overlooked the land
it was such a day so sparklingly clear
things from afar looking so very near
the breeze played some gentle tunes all that day long
with a percussion of insects and choirs of birdsong
the grass was a carpet inviting them to stay
no need of a blanket there where they lay
he caressed her with tenderness caressed her with lust
as she caressed him in return so full of love and trust
and there on that grass in plain open view
as though they both made their vows anew
they made their love as if in a sweet long day dream
shattering silence with their little moans and screams
while the breeze sang so gently to them all that day long
with a percussion of insects and choirs of birdsong
