Blink Back
I blink back those moments
When you held me so warm
And told me you loved me
As big as the world!
It seemed then so endless
So ever and full,
But now it's a flash back,
A blink in the dark!
The tossing and turning,
The sleepless and sad,
Shadows the sunshine
In the midst of a smile!
I blink back the sizzle
And sigh in that space,
And miss it so sharply,
As I sob in the dark!
Joy Weare.
