BECAUSE I DO LOOK AT YOU

Do you ever think before you arise
How I don't share this bed with other guys
Do you ever kiss my forehead or my cheek?
Do you pull back the covers and peek?

At the woman with the beautiful breasts
How warm and firm when your hands caress
Their ivory skin, nipples colored tan
Do you look at me when I am sleeping, my dear man?

Do you get up quick and get hurry to get dressed?
Not linger there where my mouth's at rest
Where my mind isn't rolling on in thought
Do you ever listen to the quiet brought?

To me, just from you here at night
Reverence for our bond is right
Sometimes you have to change what's you
If only a little at a time, to get through

This door, back in this smooth, restful bed
Where a million thoughts of you finally leave my head
Then it's touch as you are here and it's okay again
Your voice there strokes my ears with tunes that begin

To help me understand why I am obsessed by it
So I can comprehend how we can finally get
Into a world where you are the only man I see
When you're asleep, I look at you and wonder if
You look at me?
