Fear Of Change! We fear what we don't know, it's true! Get scared to look ahead! Lost your job, don't know what to do, But look at it like this; you're alive, not dead! You have your health, that's all you need! To see you through life and its many trials And no matter what!!! No matter what! You sail through that life in smiles!!! You fall to your knees; you've had a fright, So ok then, you're not alone! There are many like you out there! But some don't even have a home! Their abode is a cardboard box, And their address is a darkened street, No coats to keep them warm! No socks on their cold feet! As for food, well if you ask them, Then they will tell you true, They eat what they can find in bins! Now tell me, would that do for you? They beg and borrow and steal, To get food however which-way they may! They would think it was such Heaven, But it's not for them, this day! Will they ever get to see what you do? And have clothes to keep the cold out! Have the richness of a table full of food, And an address that's not a cardboard cut-out!! And will they ever have a family? Do you think they'd like all you have and do? How do you think it would be for them! To live your life for you! I think that they would be happy, Knowing they have a home! And clothes and food for a king! And to never live in the cold alone! So look to your heart and soul this day, And tell me, what do you see? The life that you live and have! Or the awful life you think yours to be! Just ask them, ask them now! For they will tell you true! That the life you have, the life you live; Is the life that they want too!!! You lost your job, they lost their life! Would you want to swap? I doubt it!   Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
