Heart Of The Matter
In Truth, I Couldn't Tell
I've had a gentle peaceful day,
Just quiet and unobtrusive,
I took another holiday,
Desired to be elusive,
I so enjoyed the sanctuary,
No callers and no calls,
And I would live my life this way,
If I had the wherewithal's,
A little time spent quietly,
In deepest meditation,
I felt that I was flying,
A very strange sensation,
The colours of the rainbow,
Were set before my eyes,
I'm not sure where I landed,
It felt like paradise,
A place of love, a place of light,
A rapturous atmosphere,
I met with friends I knew before,
Who are now no longer here,
I met a man, who took my hand,
And bade me fond farewell,
I thought, I must be dreaming,
But in truth, I couldn't tell.
Just quiet and unobtrusive,
I took another holiday,
Desired to be elusive,
I so enjoyed the sanctuary,
No callers and no calls,
And I would live my life this way,
If I had the wherewithal's,
A little time spent quietly,
In deepest meditation,
I felt that I was flying,
A very strange sensation,
The colours of the rainbow,
Were set before my eyes,
I'm not sure where I landed,
It felt like paradise,
A place of love, a place of light,
A rapturous atmosphere,
I met with friends I knew before,
Who are now no longer here,
I met a man, who took my hand,
And bade me fond farewell,
I thought, I must be dreaming,
But in truth, I couldn't tell.
