I Remember

As I sit, I remember when we first met,
Our first kiss was under a beautiful sunset.
I remember the day you told me you loved me,
I remember how your love set my heart free.
I remember the day you ask me to be your wife,
Take this walk of faith with you and share your life.
I remember our wedding day, as I walked down the aisle,
I remember your tears, and the radiance of your smile.
I remember thinking I had been truly blessed,
I had found true love and happiness.
I remember the gentle way you would caress my face,
Hide small gifts for me all over the place.
I remember the tender way you would kiss my lips.
And the way you massaged my fingertips.
I remember the hard times, not so many,
But the good times, we had plenty.
I remember the intensity of your stare,
The way you washed and comb my hair.
I remember so many of the things we went through,
But most of all "I remember you".
