YOUR RIB

A part of your body
Is what I was made from
There inside you
By your heart

That's God's will
He made me to be
Your companion
To be beside you

Taken from his image
To serve you
Have love for you
To believe in your power

Weaker than you
Still strong enough
To see the lonely
Bring the warmth

Of woman to you
A part you owned
God's grace gave
A little to man

In these times
We are not let back in
No one longs to protect
What was God's making

Love dissipates
Grasping at the world
When all the touch
Man needs

Is inside him
From by his soul
Reach in there
To woman's love.
