Three Little Words
Three little words
They mean so very much
I can speak volumes
But I can't say these
They've burned me in the past
These three little words
They ripped out my heart
And tore up my soul
I never thought there would come a time
To need these words again
I thought that time had come and gone
And my heart was free at last
You came into my life
And completely changed my mind
I feel the emotion
God knows that I do
Why is it so hard?
It's only three little words
This time I know it's right
Nothing will go wrong
You feel it too
It's plain to see
I'm happy, you're happy
Everything is great
I want you and I need you
So why can't I say "I love you?"
Oh my gosh! there they are
Sneaky little words
Maybe I can't say them
But I sure can write them
I love you, I love you, I love you
Three tiny little words
