Words of Life, Love and Praise

My Vow

Forever promises there in your eyes
A faint quiver upon your lips,
Your voice happy and steady
And vow all tomorrows for me-
My hands within your own so strong,
These eyes sting as the words flow
As I take you for my own…
I dared not dream of such happiness
Fearing those days were gone,
But then you came like a beacon of light
And soon had me singing loves song-
Now the days remembered
Precious moments lived in this life
Those spent loving you,
As you take me for your wife…
You bring such joy to this soul
As you slide a promise on my hand,
So much love contained there
Within that little band-
From my heart I pledge to you
All I have to give,
Today, tomorrow, forever,
As long as I shall live…
This my vow, I lovingly make
Knowing your heart is true,
For I cannot imagine my future
Without the love of you.
