Daisy and Me.My sweet Daisy May Come dance in the sun. We'll play in the lea Until the day's done. Swing on the bluebells And hide in the grass, Drink sweet morning dew With nary a glass. And the whippoorwill Shall warble his tune- Luring the fairies From stark winter's gloom. As butterfly sprites With color array Flit on the breezes- Far up and away. And angel fairies In the willow tree Smile at the antics Of Daisy and me. So goes the day with Much laughter and fun-- But soon the light fades, And down goes the sun. My Daisy and I Go home to our beds- Hearts happy and full- Sweet dreams in our heads. Copyright © by Michelle 4/1/06 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
