When Life Is Just Too Much; When life is just too much, And you want to give up and die! Lose that self pity, it's no good! But yes! You're allowed to cry! Tears really do help! Oh but this is very true! They release the pent up tension! That's crucifying you! So when you're at the crossroads, And life is too much to bear! Don't give in, aim to win! And find the strength that's there! Because the strength of man is deep within! So look for it, drag it to the fore! Lean on it, gain from it, draw from it! Because strength is that, and more! Now I tell you this, and I tell you true! I don't say this with ease at all! Because my life is a constant battle, And has been since I was small! …But… There is always a way to sort things, And there is no need to lie down and die! So release that pent up tension; And if you need to, cry and cry! But no matter what you feel, No matter how bad things seem! Stay focused, strong and true to yourself! And you'll see what I mean! You will see you have an invisible strength! And when you drag it to the fore! You can realise that you don't have to give in! Just because you think you can't take any more! Because you can! I am living proof we can survive! Even when we think it's impossible! I am worth the fight! Are you worth the fight? I would say so! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
