I lace one shoe up and that looks good
The other doesn`t look like it should,
I take it out and I try again
This shoe lace is driving me insane.
When I think I`ve got it right at last
One end`s longer than the other, blast!
Out it comes again for one last try
If it`s not right this time I will cry.
Got it right at last, I shout "Hooray",
But fastened the stupid lace won`t stay,
I double knot it just to make sure
Then I knot it again once more.
Against all odds the lace comes undone
Silly was I to think I had won,
When on the floor I trip on this lace
And through this I fall flat on my face.
