Is There Such A Thing As Love?
Author: Mark V. Markov
There is no pain in paradise
For the chosen ones to see
It's a place where misery can't be
Yet here on earth sadness touches
And overthrows my mind,
Questions subtly come
Time after time
Their nature appears
And thoughts arise,
Is there such a thing as love?
That can save us?
Is there such a thing as love?
That can give us hope?
It's so hard to exist in this world
Without having a purpose in life
How can we be something more?
Something better towards improvement
Could we change ourselves?
And be in unity
Could love set us forever free?
Hopefully it would reflect on the outside
So we could become more humane,
Perhaps more kind towards each other really,
Some people are into love
Some are into hate
Yet there are others
Who are into things that don't make any sense at all.
But the mistake of the instinctive mind
Is that sometimes
It filtrates into something persuasive
Then gently flows along the common wave
Touching the narrow to a side,
Unto its peak it comes
Until the soul reaches the grave
Then it's too late to turn back time,
Is there such a thing as love?
That most of us will find before we die
Is there such a thing as love?
That could comfort our hearts
And soothe our worried wondering minds.
Is there such a thing as love?
That can save us?
Is there such a thing as love?
That can give us hope?
It's so hard to exist in this world
Without having a purpose in life
How can we be something more?
Something better towards improvement,
Could we change ourselves?
And be in unity
Could love set us forever free?
Hopefully it would reflect on the outside
So we could become more humane,
Perhaps more kind towards each other really,
God is love
God is what we need
For without Jesus Christ
We cannot truly appreciate love.
The true love as it was always meant to be
Without the Heavenly Father sacrificing
His only begotten Son for us on the cross
When we were lost in darkness.
Without God
We trully could never appreciate this ultimate kind of love...
