In my country of Belize, a beautiful lighthouse
stands on a point overlooking a cliff.
It's my favorite spot in my country.
There beside it lies the tomb of an English Baron
who fell in love with our country.
it was erected from his generous donations at the time
of his death, The "Baron Bliss Lighthouse" proudly stands
in his memory, at the spot where his ship was anchored
until his death. He never set foot on shore as he was
confined in a w/chair, but his last wish was to be
buried at the spot where the Lighthouse stands.
A children's park faces the Lighthouse. His tomb is
honored with a wreath every year & our country enjoys a holiday.
The "Baron Bliss" generous trust fund has
made it possible for Belize to build various educational
buildings throughout our country.
