I sit here in the depth of myself
And survey a world of which I was a part
Not so long ago I walked as the world does
With the joy of life, eager to depart
On some normal errant, so alive

With the joy of youth, my faith unknown
.ˇ:*¨¨*:ˇ.ˇ:*¨¨*:ˇ.ˇ:*¨¨*:ˇ.ˇ:*¨¨*:ˇ.ˇ:*¨
Now a broken doll, sits, watch and wait
She follows a blind course like the moth
Who to a flame must cling until its life
Is sucked from its lifeless frame
.ˇ:*¨¨*:ˇ.ˇ:*¨¨*:ˇ.ˇ:*¨¨*:ˇ.ˇ:*¨¨*:ˇ.ˇ
With crippled wings, I follow that same path
Oh by no means mad at life or at myself
No! I am satisfied that I am living
To the lenght of time my Lord will give
For the lessons learnt in this long eclipse
Are but a previewed glimpse at suffering
Of which I am no longer afraid

Suffering is no stranger to me now
And I can say I have embraced it well
But I know that what waits for me,
Will be God's reward for
Enduring a living Hell
