PUPPY LOVE


Is it only puppy love
That you could fit me as a glove
Kitten here wanting to play
With a grown man far away

Will he bring me milk that's warm
A blanket when there's a winter storm
Let me sleep on his couch
Pet me to come back from being a grouch?

Puppy love they say to us
Is kids stuff and not enough
To carry on the way we do
As I meow you come back too

With a bark
That tells the dark
Or a growl
That says now pal

It's all okay
You write away
About whatever comes to mind
I'm here if puppy love is all we find
