Remembering the LordWe become attached to things of earth, Cherishing them more than their worth; Within our minds as they turn into gods, Not realizing they are a bunch of frauds. We do not see how we make God grim, When we put our idols ahead of Him; Thinking first of our personal pleasure, Rather than of our Heavenly treasure. It is apparent the source of our thirst, When we are putting other things first; Completely disregarding His command, That was inscribed by His very hand. So we wind up getting deeper into debt, As we continue and tending to forget; He is the Lord our God and no more, Not a single thing shall come before. So I caution you through this way, Give laud and honor to Him each day; Remember Him in everything you do, And He will not be forgetting you too.
