I'm alone again, I know where you've been
You're heading for the bedroom...........
to lock yourself in
I feel as though you're not even here
As I turn the washer's cycle to spin

My poor heart cries so alone within
It's six in the morning............
my day will begin
These crazy hours are not the right thing
In this old cruel world we just can't win
*:ˇ...ˇ:* *:ˇ...ˇ:* *:ˇ...ˇ:* *:ˇ...ˇ:*
For when I'm awake, in bed you abide
Our nights and days................
don't ever colide
We never share our thoughts like before
On weekends you have a job on the side
*:ˇ...ˇ:* *:ˇ...ˇ:* *:ˇ...ˇ:* *:ˇ...ˇ:*
To pay our bills we had to decide
On a grave yard shift........
where you go to and fro
I miss your presence over coffee each day
There's nothing else for us to do
*:ˇ...ˇ:* *:ˇ...ˇ:* *:ˇ...ˇ:* *:ˇ...ˇ:*
But clench our teeth and see this through
Until all our dreams one day come true

Note
Because of our health problems, my hubby
had to take a second job. It was a strain
on us to say the least.
