Heart Of The Matter

Sister of Mercy

The sweet bouquet of summer flowers,
Flown on a breeze so tender,
Brings close my sweet Theresa,
All hurt and pain surrender,

My sweet sister of mercy,
Is close, she's standing by,
The summer scent so heavenly,
I feel, so moved to cry,

I believe she is an angel,
In truth, she's that to me,
I feel her presence touching,
I do not need to see,

She calls me when I call on her,
To comfort those who weep,
She touches them with God's own hand,
When darkest shadows creep,

You may well smell those flowers,
And feel the healing ray,
She'll free your heart from sorrow,
And send it on its way,

You'll feel your burden lighten,
Your heart now flying free,
If you feel that love, surround you,
It's sent, to you from me.
