Poet's HeartWhat can my poet's heart write, Before I lay down to rest tonight? From my hand flow the words that You understand While my heart sings praises for all You have planned. I rest here knowing You alone have saved me By Your grace and mercies I've been set free. My poet's heart has been made anew Sharing with others what is right and true. What prayer can I speak before I sleep Humbled, knowing I am in your keep... Wanting to honor you all of my days Serving you Lord, obeying your ways. My poet's heart writes about our Lord of Life Being filled with His peace, banishing strife. What can my poet's heart write, Before I lay down to rest tonight? There is no end to the words that flow From my hand to the Shepherd I'll always know… He gave me sight That I may see, The glory of all eternity. Julie Pisacane © 2006 Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
