 ramblings and things

Untitled

There is a chill in this room
I am feeling sick inside
I have done my civic duty
I watched him as he died
Strapped down to a gurney
Wheeled in there
Injected with fatal chemicals
With such precision and care
Seemed to be watched so lovingly
Monitored every vital sign
I watched his eyes close
As tears filled mine
It seemed an eternity
Before an attendant said
Sentence has been executed
And pronounced him dead
And in that full room
I was alone
Locked in my head
On my own
Some people are so evil
They surely deserve to die
But I cannot condone
No matter how I try
This legal sideshow
This describeless end
That doesn't shout justice
Just we have been avenged
