Weekend

Sunday morning Sunday morning
Middle of two delicious days
So totally cuddled
In that warm after haze
Signifying for the present
All love making done
That battle of the sexes
That both lost yet both had won
A Roberta Flack soulful song
Flows over us both lying there
A whiff of perking coffee
Drifts through the still air
She looks so contented
So hard fast asleep
One of those tender moments
I always want to keep
The hunger in my stomach
Just can't compete
With the contented feelings
Of a cuddle so complete
I feel her warm against me
Stirring more needs to sate
Stay sleeping there my darling
All the rest can just wait
