ode to a dream©

Oh to gaze at the rockets red glare,
to know that harmony reigns there.
For all of us live as one,
we have only just begun.
The fighting has all been ceased,
in our homes and on the streets.
Children everywhere finally know,
that peace is the only way to go.
But when i awoke the very next day,
my dream with the stars was swept away.
For i'm afraid i must admit,
there'll never be peace:
anywhere two people exist?!
