Heart Of The Matter
Love, I Remember You
I sit here, quietly,
Staring at a clear star filled sky,
Through a large open window,
It's frame,
Holding, heaven's vista,
To my eyes.
Beethoven serves me well tonight,
The music tends my soul,
With a gentle caress,
And an abundance,
Of once forgotten memories,
Brought to mind.
I see you there,
In that star filled sky,
Head thrown back,
Laughing,
How I hear you laughing ….
And I smile,
At the sight of you,
Recalling now,
The scent of you,
Your breath on my skin,
The tender caress,
Of your hand,
On my face,
And love ……
Yes, I remember you.
Staring at a clear star filled sky,
Through a large open window,
It's frame,
Holding, heaven's vista,
To my eyes.
Beethoven serves me well tonight,
The music tends my soul,
With a gentle caress,
And an abundance,
Of once forgotten memories,
Brought to mind.
I see you there,
In that star filled sky,
Head thrown back,
Laughing,
How I hear you laughing ….
And I smile,
At the sight of you,
Recalling now,
The scent of you,
Your breath on my skin,
The tender caress,
Of your hand,
On my face,
And love ……
Yes, I remember you.
