    EIGHT YEARS
  Roll it up; Let's go for a ride.
  Been a long while since we got fried.
  Start the truck;
  Let's watch the stars awhile.
  Find a place to park for now.
  Let's take a little walk.
  Talk about life, as we fly on by it.
  Conversing about the little things;
  The bigger one's too.
  Looking at the distant stars and planets;
  From the top of this hill.
  I think about where and what we are.
  Just pin points of life;
  On the hill where we sit.
  Your thoughts brake the silence tonight.
  Get up slow;
  You talk the whole way home.
  While I slip into another frame of mind.
  Who am I?
  If i can't change your mind.
  This time.
  Now I sit where we sat.
  A pin point of life on this map.
  My thoughts break the silence tonight.
  Just like shattered glass.
  Who am I? If I can't change your mind.

  FOR MY BROTHER WILLIAM CRAIG MITCHELL.
  I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER.
  Happy birthday 5/1/70-12/24/97
