(―`._ A Wink Of Sleep (―`._
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
On a night quite dark and rainy
As I was in bed so weary
A voice I heard so scary
Cried aloud so very dreary
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
I could not get a wink of sleep!
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
Outside I heard the thunder
As I snuggled down more under
But a banging made me wonder
What on earth could be asunder
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
I could not get a wink of sleep!
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
So with fear I rushed to scurry
To the window I dared to hurry
In the dark in quite a flurry
I at once started to worry
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
I could not get a wink of sleep!
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
A nightmare thought I still sleepy
The strang voice sounded creepy
As the mist crept past so deeply
And the weather grew more bleaky
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
I could not get a wink of sleep!
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
My poor legs began to tremble
My weak knees began to crumble
I feared there would be trouble
Then I took an aweful tumble
(―`._(―`._(―`._(―`._
So I did not get a wink of sleep!
