The Tango Of The Night

The lovers sign their covenant of bliss,
Their kith and kin sit quietly in rows,
They seal it with a tender loving kiss,
What's on their mind, well, everybody knows,

The contract signed indelible in ink,
And from this moment everything has changed,
Attendants, three in all, all dressed in pink,
Co-ordinating bouquets, pre-arranged,

A piper stands lamenting at the door,
Confetti is the order of the day,
Photographer says "smile please, just one more",
A ceilidh sees the lovebirds on their way,

And as the moon and stars shine, oh, so bright,
The lovers dance the tango of the night.
