Forgiveness

We need to learn to forgive our sisters and brothers,
God forgive us all, why can't we forgive one another?
We need to release the old hurts, and betrayals
That is new,
Ask God to help us to forgive, and this he will do.

We need to let go of the negative emotions
Those connect us to our past,
And hold on to the abundance of happiness
That we hope will last.

We are not perfect, and we all make mistakes,
Just saying “I Am Sorry” is all it takes.
We as people are so easy to judge,
And sometime we can really hold a grudge.

We should free our hearts and our minds,
And good things might come in time.
We should enjoy the life we live,
And though it all, let us learn to forgive.
