Oh my God! I am so stressed!
Smog invades my lungs
Road rage invades my brain
Babys stolen
Children murdered
Rape
Murder
Sickness
People stabbing each other in the back
Our Soldiers,
our sons and daughters
mothers and fathers
dying in foreign lands
The hate and drearyness of
A world gone insane
For What????
I can't take it anymore!
I get in my truck
and drive
don't know where yet
then I remember
That place
I smile
Turn up the tunes
knowing soon
I will be alright
After awhile I turn off the road
onto a narrow strip of dirt
Remembering the last time
I rode my horse right here
Getting out of my truck
I breathe the clear air
I see the lake
I see the place
I love
I take off my shoes
and walk
As far as the eye can see
only beauty
Solitude
The soft breeze brushes wisps of hair across my face
The blue sky is so clear
the clover under my bare feet
is so green
so soft
tickling between my toes
Lavenders, reds, yellow, blue
every color of the rainbow
span forever in wildflowers
The only sound heard is that of the melting snow
on top of the majestic mountains
slowly making its way down to the lake below
in a narrow gap of dirt eroded through
the many years of solitude
I sit in the flowers and clover
Looking for that lucky
one with the 4 leaves
I sit for hours
Thinking
of only the beauty, this world has to offer..
Finally I stand up
The sunset of reds and golds takes away my breathe
I take one last look
as I head off the road to the pavement
Knowing this was such a beatuiful day
in the fields of clover.
