Foxy Lady Personal Poem 12/1979History: Christmas gift. Angie is an inspector at a garment factory. We belong to the union... so we are sisters in the union. She wants to be a grandma. Her son Rick just bought a puppy. She wants a new shirt for Christmas. Foxy Lady 'Twas the day after Ricky's announcement to all That Angie's a grandma of a pup with four paws. I had been wondering all day and all night: What would they need for such a small mite? Then I remembered the booties in delight. Yep, they were perfect, they were just right. So I scurried upstairs to fetch them real fast, Then scurried back down and fell on my a--. After I recovered, I wrapped them carefully. As I wrapped them I wondered: Now how can this be? Why Angie's a lady, she's just like me. Then it hit me as I lifted the box: It runs in the family. Of course! Angie's a fox. Knowing her secret, I turned with a smirk, Then dashed to the store for her Christmas shirt. While laughing so hard I inspected it with care Just to be sure there wasn't a tear. Then I sat down and wrote this verse, While in the back of my mind I could hear Angie curse. But laugh sister Angie, though I cringe at the sound, For if we are sisters, that makes me part hound.           Ex-Rea Written as a Christmas card given with a set of doggie booties and a Foxy Lady T-shirt, to which I attached a tail.
