The Beauty InsideIf beauty is just skin deep, Then what about within; Is it all a corrupted heap, Filled with filth and sin. None of us really knows, The inner most thoughts; As a wandering mind goes, Actually how far it trots. Some may walk in a hallway, That has some tempting lures; And causes a person to stray, When they open up the doors. Others may resist such a path, Because of what they fear; And rather not face the wrath, For values they hold so dear. When hearts and minds abide, With our Almighty God; Then beauty is also inside, When they honor and laud. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2006 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
