One Life's Pilgrimage

HUMAN DELIGHTS by Sonja

Human delights are actions that say "I am".
Like walking through a leftover puddle
and printing a footprint on the dry, clean cement.

Writing a poem, perhaps of Love's lament.

Parking in the "Employee-of-the-Month" space.
Giving birth to a child.
Having His Countenance adorn your face.
Bearing your Testimony of God out loud.
Graffiti.
Helping the needy.

With the decline of the lofty mind,
and carnal pleasure on the rise,
There is reason for fear to find
it's way into the most tender heart.

Perhaps the time is fast approaching
for the righteous to be set apart.

Before the human delights of men
begin to sacrifice life again.
