God so Loved the World
For God so loved the world,
In making His plan unfurled;
Giving His only begotten Son,
To be crucified as it to be done.
On the cross flowed His blood,
Down into the rocks and mud;
Hanging until His last breath,
As His body underwent death.
Taken down and put in a tomb,
As the sky turned to a gloom;
For three days where He stayed,
Resurrecting for sins to be paid.
Now on the right of the Father,
And be considered as a brother;
Unto everyone for to believe,
With an eternal life to receive.
True Christians shall not perish,
If they truly totally do cherish;
Of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
And the reason He was sacrificed.
