Learn to Number Your Days
Through the Word we seek,
As to when the end will come;
For we grow weary and weak,
That makes us feel so glum.
I know that patience is a virtue,
For the waiting as we tolerate;
But it eludes us from our view,
On worrying about being late.
Before the wrath as days pass,
Agony comes from our fears;
Gazing into the looking glass,
While wiping away our tears.
But because of your salvation,
We should never have to dread;
Rather celebrating in jubilation,
Knowing eternal life is ahead.
Teach us to number our days,
So we can apply Your wisdom;
While we abide in Your ways,
To join You in Your Kingdom.
