DAY'S END
Exhausting heat,
Tired feet;
Bone tired,
Mind wired.
Stomachs growling,
Children howling;
Potatoes lumpy,
Hubby grumpy.
Refreshing shower,
Renewed power;
Check homework,
Contented smirk.
Children smart,
Grateful heart;
Kisses goodnight,
Extinguish light.
Final teacup,
Snuggle up;
Prayers said,
Mmmm, bed!
