Remembering As I sit gazing at the stars, Remembering all that was the past, I remember all the feelings Of love and pain. I remember the pain Of loosing my best friend, Who was also my mum, It was a pain that ran so deep, That I can still feel it today. I remember the love From my mum, It was a love that never faulted, No matter how hard life got. I remember all the feelings Heartache and joy. I remember the heartache Of having a father who, Who has never cared enough. I remember the joy, Of bringing my beautiful daughters Into this world, And feeling the most overwhelming Feeling of love I have ever felt. As I sit here gazing toe the stars, I contemplating all that was past, I remember that All the love and joy, All the pain and heartache, Has given me strength, And knowledge To carry on in life Always knowing No matter how much pain and heartache I feel, There will always be the love and joy, To help me through it.
