LIFE'S LITTLE SACRIFICES
Sometimes I leave home before daybreak,
Without a minute to spare;
No time for breakfast or a glass of juice,
Can just manage to comb my hair.
Don't have time to get the kids up,
Or give them a goodbye kiss;
It can be very frustrating when I think,
Of all the little things I miss.
Like being there in the afternoon,
When my children come home from school;
Hearing them relate their daily routine,
While I sit back relaxed and cool.
Don't want to sound all sad and depressed,
Like my family and I never have fun;
But sometimes you have to sacrifice,
In order to get things done.
My husband and I do our very best,
To support our kids and one another;
So if I complain every once in a while,
It's OK, cause I'm a working mother.
Sometimes I leave home before daybreak,
Without a minute to spare;
No time for breakfast or a glass of juice,
Can just manage to comb my hair.
Don't have time to get the kids up,
Or give them a goodbye kiss;
It can be very frustrating when I think,
Of all the little things I miss.
Like being there in the afternoon,
When my children come home from school;
Hearing them relate their daily routine,
While I sit back relaxed and cool.
Don't want to sound all sad and depressed,
Like my family and I never have fun;
But sometimes you have to sacrifice,
In order to get things done.
My husband and I do our very best,
To support our kids and one another;
So if I complain every once in a while,
It's OK, cause I'm a working mother.
