Life, life, ___if we could only understand this complicated play
Yet sadly we never fully comprehend until it's nearly gone away
We spend our years searching always for that most perfect role
Not knowing perfection is but an illusion never to be a goal

It has taken me most of my life to understand what role it is that I am to play in this mystery called life. The great revelation is that perfection does not make for a greater part in life. Striving to be my very best as a husband, son, father, grandfather and friend is what in the end makes me what I really am. This is what those who knew me in life will remember, not that I was ever perfect.
For that I am grateful.
