MY MENAGERIE
Some people like big dogs and little puppies,
Others want tropical fish or even guppies;
Lotsa folks trip on seeing polywogs
Blossom into full-grown four-legged frogs;
There are those who like all kinds of snakes,
Just keep 'em from me, for goodness sakes!
Fun to communicate with little caged birds,
With shrill little whistles and gentle words;
But the pets that bring me joy of all joys,
Are my five grandkids, one girl and four boys.
