Heart Of The Matter

Here And Now

I'm standing at the crossroads,
Don't know which way to turn,
I sit a while, here on the fence,
Decision, walk or run,

I've been a while in limbo,
And wait for news to come,
Yes, patience is a virtue,
I'm sure it is, for some,

Its' never been my strong point,
And eager for the dance,
I try so hard to learn the steps,
Delayed by circumstance,

When darkness falls,
And peace descends,
The night still cold and clear,
The empty streets are white with frost,
You whisper in my ear,

I close my eyes and focus,
On the rainbow, I now see,
No clouds on my horizon,
My vision now is clear,

I listen to your gentle voice,
Soothing, calming me,
And where I am,
Right here and now,
Is where, I'm meant to be.
