PLEASURES OF A KNIT-WIT
I love to knit, it eases stress and strain,
It's something I can do again and again;
On frosty days, its purpose is two-fold,
Relaxes my mind, keeps me warm from the cold;
I know I'll be satisfied before I begin,
A cover for my bed or to wrap my body in;
Not just a hobby to hide me from all care,
Decorates my home, gives me clothing to wear;
Though I never like to seem haughty or proud,
I find pleasure while knitting in a crowd;
I say in all honesty, I don't like to smirk,
But an added bonus is admiration for my work.
I love to knit, it eases stress and strain,
It's something I can do again and again;
On frosty days, its purpose is two-fold,
Relaxes my mind, keeps me warm from the cold;
I know I'll be satisfied before I begin,
A cover for my bed or to wrap my body in;
Not just a hobby to hide me from all care,
Decorates my home, gives me clothing to wear;
Though I never like to seem haughty or proud,
I find pleasure while knitting in a crowd;
I say in all honesty, I don't like to smirk,
But an added bonus is admiration for my work.
