SWEET LITTLE BAD GIRL
I had a sweet little girl,
Made my heart feel so good,
For that precious child
I did everything I could;
Wanted her to feel how much I did care,
Bought her pretty clothes,
Took special pains with her hair;
Her interests changed from dolls and toys,
To wearing makeup and captivating boys;
My little girl was always smart as a whip,
But she strutted through school
With a swivel to her hip;
She'd sneak away from home,
Started getting high,
Floods and floods of tears
I used to sit alone and cry;
I can't think of anything
That's made me feel so sad,
Or hurt as much as knowing
That my sweet girl is bad.
I had a sweet little girl,
Made my heart feel so good,
For that precious child
I did everything I could;
Wanted her to feel how much I did care,
Bought her pretty clothes,
Took special pains with her hair;
Her interests changed from dolls and toys,
To wearing makeup and captivating boys;
My little girl was always smart as a whip,
But she strutted through school
With a swivel to her hip;
She'd sneak away from home,
Started getting high,
Floods and floods of tears
I used to sit alone and cry;
I can't think of anything
That's made me feel so sad,
Or hurt as much as knowing
That my sweet girl is bad.
