SWING DREAMING
I love to sit on my front porch and swing,
Such delightful peace it really does bring;
When I close my eyes and gently glide,
I truly enjoy a most pleasant ride;
Temporary escape both night and day,
All my troubles seem to just fade away;
Whether I'm melancholy or life gets me down,
If I feel on my face an irritating frown;
Or I feel the need to just sit and relax,
After washing clothes or buffing floor wax;
Have to open my vent, let off a little steam,
Get a burning desire to float and dream;
Sometimes I feel the need to just get away
From the hassles that life brings on us each day;
But it really doesn't take much of anything,
For me to run away to my daydreaming swing.
I love to sit on my front porch and swing,
Such delightful peace it really does bring;
When I close my eyes and gently glide,
I truly enjoy a most pleasant ride;
Temporary escape both night and day,
All my troubles seem to just fade away;
Whether I'm melancholy or life gets me down,
If I feel on my face an irritating frown;
Or I feel the need to just sit and relax,
After washing clothes or buffing floor wax;
Have to open my vent, let off a little steam,
Get a burning desire to float and dream;
Sometimes I feel the need to just get away
From the hassles that life brings on us each day;
But it really doesn't take much of anything,
For me to run away to my daydreaming swing.
