Heart Of The Matter

Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time,
There was a princess in a tower,
She dreamt of some prince charming,
She did this hour by hour,
So many days spent gazing,
For a signal on a star,
Yet he remained so distant,
Her prince remained so far,

Love wider than the ocean,
Much deeper than the sea,
The princess sought him daily,
In her sweetest reverie,
She dreamt of love eternal,
And happy ever after,
But in her lucid moments,
She heard only, fiendish laughter,

And tiring of her daydreams,
She saw the light of day,
Discovered her prince charming,
Living just two doors away,
She stepped into the real world,
And met a man who cared,
She found he fell in love with her,
And to him, her soul, she bared.
