 My Child, My Blessing
Song written by: Gerald Lamar Ingraham
Sung by: Lamar

[Chorus: Lamar]

My child my blessing,
My life long lesson,
The truth of my life,
Is right here before my eyes.
[Verse One: Lamar]

It happened as if,
It was just a night ago,
When you were born,
And I was given you to hold,
I gently kissed your forehead,
My tears lost control,
Seeing as you have your mom's eyes,
With my nose.
Repeat Chorus
[Verse Two: Lamar]

In the small matter,
Of only two days,
We took you home,
And in a crib you were placed,
I turned to my wife,
Gazed in her face,
Kissed her with a thought,
Of these word to phrase.
Repeat Chorus
