Faculty Of The Mind: By Michael Ssemakula

Pleasing an angry god

In the crack of dawn, they pledge their allegiances to
The founders of their faith; trying to please an angry god
Cleansing all iniquity into iron-ruling the whole universe

The way to go; out of their league in plummenting
The Deity's own creation; people, animals and or nations
God is hereby advised on what he shouldn't have created

In the daybreak and wake of night they wail out
Into voluntary hatred of cult-like sovereignty
While entirely denying evil in broad day light
Yet end up fulfilling the very works of the devil

Spiritual reason tells me that individualism may not
Overcome all adversaries alone nor with the sword
Even when, devising plans thru prophets of doom
Declaring curses to secure glamorous places in those
Hells; curdling hot rails of contempt in the name of
That one angry god; yet claim to rally for peace
And holiness in all those trails of wrong guidelines

What an insomniac mayhem to uphold a frail god
I know it's got to be an empty dwindling faith
When believers fail to lift an angry god's spirit
