Beautiful Raven
I never meant to make you feel
so unwelcome, so literally hated
and seeing though this silver lining
is the bed I made
but it's too late for I am sorry's
or to say it wasn't that bad really...
and yes I miss you
all your hang ups
all the love that I never let in
the stubborn ways of the both of us
just got in the way
but you know that all is forgiven
and I am sorry
after all it wasn't that bad really.....
I wish we could chat
break out the coffee
and let our memories take us back
but I think I know
that you were finally okay with me
in your sad eyes
I realized I wanted you to see
that it wasn't that bad really....
and now I know you have dried your eyes
you get me I know
from your perch in the sky
I believe you smile, just as I do
and long for the reunion
that will bring us full circle
because after all it wasn't that bad really
