Heart Of The Matter

If Only, I Could Do It All Again

I still recall the night when we first met,
So unaware that fate would deal his card,
Remember well, now how could I forget?
For Cupid struck, just when I dropped my guard,

The full moon shone, the sky was clear and bright,
The stars reflected in your gentle eyes,
And when we touched, I swear I saw a light,
Shine brighter than the cosmos in the skies,

The memory lingers with me to this day,
And I can almost feel you by my side,
If what we had was meant, we'll find a way,
Until that day, my time, I'll simply bide.

I'd sacrifice my life and feel no pain,
If only, I could do it all again.
